The Heavy Duty Cautery Set is used when there are greater volumes of blood, and / or larger areas of tissue to be coagulated. It is particularly suitable for Gynae Theatre, outpatient procedures and Military Field Hospitals. The unit is designed for heavy duty cautery burners rated from 35 to 40 amps.

For gynaecology / obstetric procedures, It is considered best practice to use heavy duty cautery equipment instead of high frequency generators, which may affect or harm a foetus.
