Marsden M-605 Large Hoist Weighing Scale (M-605)
What does MDD Approved mean? While a Class III Approved weighing scale is one required for medical use, an MDD Approved scale is one that is compliant with the Medical Devices Directive (MDD 93/42/EEC).
MDD Approved means that the device meets strict safety requirements which are enforced in the UK by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Three directives cover all medical equipment intended to be used to diagnose, prevent, monitor or treat, including the Medical Devices Directive (MDD 93/42/EEC).
It is a requirement for hoist weighing attachments to be MDD Approved, whilst it also provides an extra seal of quality and reliability for the user.
Who uses the M-605?Hospitals and care homes use the M-605 hoist weighing scale for weighing patients who are unable to stand. With a 200kg capacity, this hoist weigher is ideal for larger patients, and large indicator means the weight reading is clear for the staff member undertaking the weighing. We recommend that weighing patients using a hoist scale is carried out by trained nurses.
Why should I choose the M-605?At 730mm wide, the M-605 is 10cm longer than the M-600, and the ideal hoist scale for use in care homes and the community.
The M-605 bariatric scale is easy to use - it simply clips onto your hoist and is ready to use. Hold, Tare and BMI functions along with a clear digital display make weighing patients easy. It’s also lightweight and portable, and is available with an optional carry case. Rechargeable battery power means no wires to the mains, and provides 55 hours of use between charges.
Optional wireless connectivity allows the scale to be connected to a patient database.
