Marsden M-615 Portable Wheelchair Scale (M-615)
How do portable wheelchair scales work? There are many types of wheelchair weighers available, but for true portability we recommend the M-615.
This wheelchair scale features a rechargeable battery, ramps to suit most wheelchairs, and a handle for easier transportation.
When it comes to weighing the patient, place the case on the floor and disengage the latch. The beams can then be unfolded and placed on the floor. Switch the scale on before pushing the patient, or letting the patient wheel themselves onto the scale. The weight reading will then register on the indicator display.
You can remove the weight of the wheelchair, meaning only the patient’s weight is displayed on the indicator, by using the Tare/Preset Tare function. Using the full numeric keypad, the patient’s height can also be entered and this means the scale will calculate BMI.
What is a Class III Approved scale? If a scale is used for monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment, then it must be Class III Approved. Class III Approved scales are built, tested, verified and calibrated in order to meet certain standards. To give the user assurance of accuracy and reliability, an EU notified body will test Approved scales rigorously.
Who uses the M-615?Because of the true portability of the M-615, this scale is ideal for community nurses and health visitors for weighing disabled patients. However it would also be at home in care homes, hospitals and even for weighing wheelchairs at home.
Why should I choose the M-615?Choose the Marsden M-615 if you need a lightweight, portable wheelchair weighing scale, which is suitable for weighing almost any wheelchair.
This high-capacity weighing scale weighs up to 300kg in 100g increments and offers full portability with a rechargeable battery offering over 55 hours of continuous use. An auto power-off feature is also present to help save battery life. With three displays and a full numerical keypad, this scale also Preset Tare/Tare, Hold and BMI functions to simplify the weighing process.
There is also optional Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity available for sending patient weight data wirelessly to your central database.
