Marsden M-620 Portable Wheelchair Scale (M-620)
How can you weigh someone in a wheelchair?Choosing the best way to weigh someone in a wheelchair depends on your needs and location.
With a wheelchair scale the patient can remain in the comfort of their own wheelchair. This method also saves time as the patient doesn’t need to be transferred to a chair scale. All the user needs to do is use Preset Tare/Tare to remove the weight of the wheelchair, leaving an accurate weight reading of the patient on the scale’s display.
The M-620 is large enough to accommodate almost every wheelchair. For easy transport the ramps and the platform fold into a trolley.
What is a Class III Approved scale?Scales that are Class III Approved are built, tested, verified and calibrated in order to meet certain standards. According to the NAWI directive, a scale ‘used in the determination of mass in the practice of medicine for the purpose of monitoring, diagnosis and medical treatment’ must be Class III Approved. To give the user assurance of accuracy and reliability, an EU notified body will rigorously test these scales.
Why should I choose the M-620?Choose the Marsden M-620 if you need to weigh patients who are in a wheelchair, but you need to be able to move the scale easily between rooms or wards.
The scale has a Tare/Preset Tare function so that the weight of the wheelchair is deducted before weighing the patient. The scale weighs up to 300kg in 100g increments and has a rechargeable battery offering 55 hours of continuous use from full charge.
The scale has optional Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity to allow you to send patient weight data to a central database. Please speak to the Marsden team about these options before ordering.
This wheelchair scale is covered by the Marsden 8 Year Warranty.
