BROAD SPECTRUM EFFICACYChlorhexidine gluconate and 70% denatured ethanol (DEB) are broad spectrum antiseptics and in combination are fast acting and effective against a wide range of both gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeast, fungi and viruses2.
REDUCED RISK OF INFECTIONMicroorganisms on a patient’s skin are understood to be the main cause of surgical site infections (SSIs) and blood stream infections (BSIs)3. With Hydrex™ Pink, the risk of infection can be reduced during incision prior to minor surgical procedures and catheter placements. This allows existing methods for skin preparation to be followed cost-effectively, without compromising patient safety.
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATIONThis product is applied topically. When use is to be followed by diathermy do not allow pooling of the fluid to occur and ensure that the skin and surrounding drapes are dry.
