Digi DS-673SS Waterproof Swab and Bench Scale (DS-673SS)
What is a Class III Approved scale?Class III Approved Scales are built, tested, verified and calibrated in order to meet specific standards. The NAWI Directive (Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments) defines these standards, and states that all scales used for medical purposes should be Class III Approved.
Approved scales are rigorously tested by an EU Notified Body. These tests help to assure the user that Class III scales are accurate, reliable and deliver repeatability.
What does the IP rating mean? The DS-673SS is IP68 rated. The scale’s IP rating represents its protection against water and dust. The first digit (e.g. ‘6’) refers to protection to dust. The second digit (e.g. ‘8’) is the protection against water and other liquids.
IP65 scales are protected against moisture when wiped down with a damp cloth. IP67 scales are splashproof, protected against water and can be washed down. IP68 rated scales, like the DS-673SS, are fully waterproof and can be used in punishing environments. Find out more here.
Why should I choose the DS-673SS?Choose the DS-673SS if you need a fully waterproof scale for weighing swabs and organs. The DS-673SS is found in operating theatres and laboratories nationwide.
With a rechargeable battery, the DS-673SS can be used absolutely anywhere regardless of where the nearest plug socket is. An AC adaptor is provided for charging the battery and for operation direct from the mains. With a fully charged battery the scale provides 40 hours of continuous use.
The scale has a large LED display making the weight reading highly visible even in poor lighting conditions. Tare allows you to deduct the weight of a vessel.
