Rydel Seiffer 64 Hz Tuning Fork with Fixed Clamps/Weights (871841)
The Rydel-Seiffer Tuning Fork is used in neurology to detect impaired vibration sensitivity, known as pallesthesia. It allows quantifiable assessment of vibration perception in the feet of diabetic patients, thereby enabling neuropathic changes to be recorded and monitored.
Research has shown that when a patient is unable to sense a vibration threshold of 4 or less on the Rydel Seiffer scale, they can be considered to show diabetic neuropathy.
